1. Purpose & Scope
This Return & Replacement Policy explains when and how customers may request a replacement for an item purchased from TribalBay.
Important: TribalBay does not offer returns, refunds, or exchanges for reasons such as change of mind, size/fit issues, or dislike of the product design. Returns are only accepted in cases where the product delivered is defective, damaged in transit, or incorrect as per your order confirmation.
By placing an order with TribalBay, you agree to this Return & Replacement Policy along with our Terms & Conditions and Shipping Policy.
2. No General Returns
- All sales are final except in the circumstances described below.
- Products are made-to-order and customized based on your selection; for this reason, they cannot be returned for preference changes or accidental ordering.
3. Eligible Reasons for Replacement
A replacement will be considered only if one of the following conditions is met:
- Manufacturing Defect – The product has a defect in materials or workmanship (e.g., misprint, faulty stitching, incomplete product).
- Transit Damage – The product arrives physically damaged due to courier mishandling.
- Incorrect Item Received – The product is materially different from what you ordered (e.g., wrong design, colour, size).
4. Reporting a Problem (Mandatory Timelines)
To be eligible for a replacement:
- You must contact TribalBay within 48 hours of delivery as shown in the courier tracking system.
- You must provide:
- Order number and full name.
- Clear photographs of:
- The defective or damaged area(s) of the product.
- The entire product.
- The outer packaging, showing shipping label and any damage.
- Send the above to support@tribalbay.in with the subject line:
Replacement Request – Order #<order number>.
Claims submitted after the 48-hour window will not be accepted, except in extraordinary circumstances determined solely at TribalBay’s discretion.
5. Verification & Approval Process
- Upon receiving your claim, TribalBay will review the details and photos.
- In some cases, you may be required to return the defective/damaged item for inspection before a replacement is approved.
- If approved, we will arrange a replacement of the same product at no cost to you.
- If the same product is unavailable (e.g., discontinued), TribalBay may offer:
- A similar product of equal value, or
- A refund of the product price.
6. Conditions & Exclusions
Replacements will not be issued if:
- The defect or damage is due to misuse, neglect, improper care, or unauthorized alterations.
- There are minor colour variations from product photos (due to screen settings, lighting, etc.).
- There are small, reasonable manufacturing tolerances (e.g., ±1 inch in print placement, minor thread irregularities) that are industry standard.
- The claim is submitted outside the stipulated timeline.
- The shipping address provided by you was incorrect, leading to delays or mishandling.
7. Return of Defective/Damaged Items (if required)
- If TribalBay requests the return of the defective/damaged item:
- We will provide you with a return shipping label.
- The product must be returned in its original packaging along with any accessories, tags, or free items received with it.
- Items returned without prior approval will not be accepted or processed.
8. No Cash on Delivery Refunds
Since TribalBay does not offer COD, all replacements or refunds (if applicable) will be processed through the same payment method used for the original order.
9. Force Majeure & Courier Liability
TribalBay is not responsible for damage or delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, strikes, or courier system failures.
Our liability is limited to what the courier partner will accept under their own terms.
10. Limitation of Liability
- TribalBay’s liability in all replacement cases is limited to the value of the item purchased.
- TribalBay will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits, business interruption, or emotional distress.
11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
- This policy is governed by the laws of India.
- Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts where TribalBay is registered. (Howrah, West Bengal, India.)
- Before initiating legal proceedings, customers agree to attempt resolution by contacting support@tribalbay.in.
