1. Introduction & Scope

This Shipping Policy explains how TribalBay accepts, processes, packages, and ships orders placed on TribalBay.in. It also explains your responsibilities as a buyer and TribalBay’s responsibilities as the merchant. By placing an order, you agree to the terms of this Shipping Policy and our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.


2. Shipping Area & Eligibility

  • We currently ship only within India. Orders from outside India will not be accepted through our standard checkout.
  • We ship to serviceable PIN codes as supported by our courier partners (Bluedart and DTDC). If a chosen delivery PIN is not serviceable, TribalBay will notify you and cancel or modify the order as required.

3. Shipping Charges & Taxes

  • Shipping is free nationwide in India. There are no hidden shipping fees charged at checkout.
  • Product prices shown on the site are inclusive of applicable Indian taxes unless explicitly stated otherwise.
  • If you select extra services (e.g., expedited shipping, insurance) that TribalBay may offer later, additional charges may apply and will be displayed prior to checkout.

4. Payment & No COD

  • TribalBay does not offer Cash on Delivery (COD). All orders must be prepaid through secure payment gateways (UPI, card payments, netbanking, wallets).
  • Orders not paid in full at checkout will not be processed or shipped.

5. Production / Fulfillment (Made-to-Order)

  • Most TribalBay products are printed or produced after an order is placed to ensure quality and reduce waste.
  • Production (Fulfillment) Time: Typically 1–3 business days from order confirmation, unless otherwise stated on the product page. Production may take longer during peak periods and special collections.
  • Cancellation window: Orders may be cancelled only before production begins. We will attempt to accept cancellations requested within 12 hours of order placement. If production has already begun, the order cannot be cancelled. (TribalBay will confirm cancellation eligibility by email.)

6. Shipping Partners & Dispatch

  • We ship through our contracted courier partners: Bluedart and DTDC. TribalBay will select the most appropriate courier based on your location and operational availability.
  • Dispatch means the status when the parcel is handed over to the courier and a tracking ID is generated. You will receive an email/SMS with dispatch confirmation and tracking details.

7. Estimated Delivery Timeframes (Conservative Estimates)

To avoid disappointment we quote conservative delivery windows. We often deliver earlier but do not guarantee earlier arrival.

  • Metro Cities: Estimated 7–10 business days from order placement (including production and courier transit).
  • Non-metro / Remote & Rural Areas: Estimated 8–12 business days from order placement.

“Business days” exclude Sundays and national public holidays. These are estimates only and not guaranteed delivery promises.


8. Order Tracking

  • After dispatch you will receive a tracking ID by email/SMS. You can track via the courier partner’s website or your account on TribalBay.in.
  • Tracking information is provided by third-party couriers; TribalBay is not responsible for inaccuracies or short-term gaps in courier tracking feeds.

9. Packaging & Handling

  • All items are securely packaged using tamper-evident, eco-conscious packaging suitable for transit.
  • Each parcel is inspected and quality-checked before dispatch. However, minor manufacturing variations (e.g., slight print placement differences) may occur and do not constitute damage.

10. Delivery Attempts & Undeliverable Parcels

  • Couriers will follow their own local delivery attempt procedures (which may include multiple attempts). If an order is returned to TribalBay because of an incorrect address, refusal to accept, or unavailability:
    • TribalBay will contact you to confirm the address.
    • If you request re-shipment, reshipment fees may apply (you will be informed before re-dispatch).
    • If no action is taken within 14 days of being returned to TribalBay, we reserve the right to cancel the order and refund the product cost less incurred courier and processing charges.

11. Incorrect or Incomplete Address

  • It is the buyer’s responsibility to provide the correct billing and shipping address at checkout. TribalBay is not responsible for delays, losses, or returns resulting from an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer.
  • If you realize you provided an incorrect address, contact support immediately at support@tribalbay.in. We will attempt to update the shipping address if the order has not been dispatched. TribalBay is not liable for failed address updates after dispatch.

12. Lost, Stolen, or Marked-Delivered Parcels

  • If a parcel is marked Delivered by the courier but you have not received it:
    1. Check with family members, neighbors, or building reception.
    2. Confirm with the courier using the tracking link.
    3. If still unresolved, contact TribalBay at support@tribalbay.in within 48 hours of the delivered status. We will open an investigation with the courier partner.
  • Claims timeline: For missing parcels or non-delivery investigations, please notify TribalBay within 7 days of the original estimated delivery date. Failure to notify within this period may limit TribalBay’s ability to pursue the courier for compensation.

13. Damaged or Defective on Arrival

  • If your order arrives damaged or defective, you must:
    1. Keep the parcel and packaging (don’t discard) as the courier may request inspection.
    2. Email support@tribalbay.in within 48 hours of delivery with: order number, photos of the product, and photos of the packaging/outer parcel.
    3. TribalBay will evaluate the claim and will, at our discretion, either arrange a replacement (if available) or refund the purchase price (subject to verification).
  • Note: TribalBay does not accept claims for visible damage reported after 48 hours, except in exceptional circumstances as determined by TribalBay and the courier partner.

14. Redelivery, Returns to Sender & Re-shipment Charges

  • If a package is returned to TribalBay due to customer error (wrong address, refusal, or unclaimed), you must confirm shipping details to resend. Re-shipping may require payment of courier charges.
  • If TribalBay resends an item due to a verified defect or our error, we will cover re-shipping costs.

15. International Shipping & Duties

  • TribalBay does not currently dispatch internationally. If we open international shipping in future, additional duties, taxes, or third-party fees may apply at destination and will be the customer’s responsibility unless otherwise stated.

16. Changes to an Order (Modification / Cancellation)

  • Modifications may be possible only before production begins. Contact support@tribalbay.in immediately for any change request.
  • Cancellation Policy: Cancellations are accepted only if requested within 12 hours of order placement and if production has not yet started. TribalBay will confirm cancellation eligibility via email. If the order cannot be cancelled because it is in production, TribalBay may offer store credit or other remedies on a case-by-case basis.

17. Force Majeure / Events Outside Our Control

  • TribalBay is not liable for delays or failures in delivery caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including pandemics, strikes, government restrictions, natural disasters, extreme weather, or courier network outages. In such circumstances, we will use reasonable efforts to notify affected customers and resume service as quickly as practicable.

18. Limitation of Liability (Important)

  • To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, TribalBay’s liability for any claim arising from shipping, delivery, or related services is limited to the value of the goods as shown on the relevant order. TribalBay is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses (including lost profits or business interruption).
  • TribalBay’s responsibility for loss, theft, delay, or damage to shipments is limited to what the courier partner will accept under their terms and compensation policies.

19. Indemnity

  • You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TribalBay (and its owners, officers, employees, affiliates) from and against any and all third-party claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
    • Your breach of these Shipping Terms;
    • Inaccurate shipping/billing information you provide; or
    • Unlawful or prohibited use of the Services.

20. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

  • These Shipping Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from this Shipping Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts where TribalBay is registered. (Howrah, West Bengal, India)
  • Before filing formal legal action, customers agree to try to resolve disputes by contacting TribalBay at support@tribalbay.in.
